missus-ruin:

Outfit scribbles for the younger queen (along with complete disregard for anatomy or consistency pfff); some I like, some I don’t, some were just for fun but don’t really fit with the story’s aesthetic (so won’t be used).

Her outfit themes were crescent shapes, harsher angles, and that some fabric must always reach the floor. The ground fabric moves and separates like water, leaves a trail behind her, runs down stairs, and totally wrecks wood flooring. So rude.

In a lot of triads, the youngest one always seems to be affiliated with war/hunting, so I wanted to put a bit of aggression in what she wears. Before I started these I only ever pictured her in long flowy dresses (particularly mermaid style, to make the connection to her and mermaids too obvious haha), but now I think I like her a lot more in pants. The long tassel’d scarf/shawls are a traditional clothing thing
I like showing off her collar bones and shoulders cause idk it’s fierce as hell.

New obsession: Coles Phillips. Here are some of my favourites of his magazine covers. Be lucky that I’m limited to 10 photos per post because there’d be a lot more. Holy crap, I love him.

Mourning Dove

There are tons of these doves in my neighborhood and i really like them. I thought a harpy based on them would be just as nice.
